We started Jobs for Vets as a way of giving back to
those who voluntarily serve in the United States Armed Forces. We understand the extraordinary sacrifice these brave
men and women make on our behalf, and wanted to do something to help ease their transition back into private life once their
active service has ended. Although we focus on finding opportunities for veterans of the United States Armed Forces,
the positions listed through this site are open to all qualified applicants. If you have discovered this site, feel
free to browse posted positions and apply to those that interest you. The
concept behind Jobs for Vets originated with the realization that matching transitioning veterans to companies that serve
the military would be beneficial to both parties. Veterans transitioning from military service seek meaningful, interesting
career opportunities in the private sector. Companies that serve the military want to find and attract veterans with
experience using their products in the field. While the synergy between these two groups was obvious, our research showed
no easy way to match qualified veterans with interested companies. Quite
simply, the goal of Jobs for Vets is to create a connection between veterans and employers that does not exist today. We
are working with the cooperation and support of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, and have accepted the eager participation
of our seven corporate partners: Allstate Insurance Company BAE Systems The Boeing Company Curtiss-Wright Corporation Ford Motor Company Northrop Grumman Corporation Spencer Stuart USAA
Through Jobs for Vets alpha,
we hope to demonstrate that the concept works, both for veterans and employers. Armed with a successful alpha test, we
believe that more companies will jump on board, offering a broader range of opportunities to veterans in transition. Jobs
for Vets alpha is operated by a team of volunteers. We charge no fees and make no money from the operation
of this site, and we want to keep it that way. If you have thoughts or comments about the site or the Jobs for Vets concept,
feel free to contact us at webmaster@jobsforvetsalpha.org.
